Hey everyone! Thank you for joining me at The tea time.

Currently in my yoga practice I am focusing on handstands and forearm stands. Poses that require a lot of patience and balance. While being upside down the only thing I can focus on is to keep the position and try to balance my body. The experience makes me extremely focused and present in the moment.

I have good days and I have bad days. Don’t we all? Some days my body feels strong and my mind can keep the focus. On those days it is easy to be upside down and keep the form. On other days my whole body feels like a soft noodle, me trying to hold on to the straight line for the dear of my life…

How do I experience this off the mat? How do I find balance in life? That is a daily struggle. Same as handstands, sometimes I have good days and the other times I have bad days. What does balance in life mean to me? Balance starts for me with how do I spend my time. For example creating time off, as life isn’t just about working. Finding rest and enjoy being active. Having me time (very important for me), and yet enjoying being social. Sometimes connecting with people, other times putting a phone away and enjoying the silence. Finding ways to treat myself and still taking care of my gut health. Constantly checking in with myself, what do I need in this moment and when do I need to create boundaries. ”Balance is everything”.

I don’t think there is a right or wrong. I don’t think there is only one way to find a balance in life. I think we all need to check in with ourselves and feel: What do I need? What do I want? How can I find  peace and feel calm?
