Two days immersed in nature – what better way to celebrate the spring weather than to venture out and soak in the peace and calm it offers. My well-planned climbing trip took a different turn when I injured my finger and had to switch to hiking and camping instead.

I could have let my disappointment take over and cancel the trip, but instead, I chose to take some time off from my busy life and enjoy the beauty of nature. So, I headed to Luxembourg to meet my friends at the climbing cracks. The weather was gorgeous, and I decided to take a little nap in the forest before embarking on a 10k hike.

As I savored the breathtaking views, the sound of birds singing and the gentle spring breeze, I felt tired but happy. My soul was content, and my mind was at peace as I put one foot in front of the other. However, my joy was short-lived as the weather took a turn for the worse, and I realized I had strayed 8km off the route. Despite the rain and the thoughts running through my head, I had to walk back, putting one foot in front of the other until I finally made it back after hiking 20km instead of 10km.

Though the hike did not go according to plan, I was grateful for the opportunity to connect with nature and be mindful of my journey. Exhausted and happy, we finished off the evening around the campfire, enjoying food, relaxation, and laughter.

The next day, I could not walk due to my sore legs, but I was happy to support my friends as they climbed. What a soulful two days it was!
